505 |t Imagen de la portada:  |g Knotted pile ritual (?) carpet, possibly of west Central Asian manufacture from the territory of modern Turkmenia. Achaemenid period, 5th-4th century BC, calibrated calendar age (95% confidence limit) of 383-332 BC ( 25.4%) or 328-200BC (74.6%). Unearthed by The Russian archaeologist Sergei I. Rudenko in summer 1949 from the outer burial chamber of kurgan (tomb) 5, Pazyryk Valley, north east Altai region, Siberia. The culture of the builders and users of the Altai kurgans (who were not necessarily the makers of the buried artefacts), has been identified as early steppe nomadic, of Scythian type with numerous local peculiarities, and given the name "Pazyryk".
Período aqueménida (siglos V-IV a. C. (25,4 %) o 328-200 a. C. (74,6 %).
