  • Imagen de la portada: Yomut Turkoman C-Gül Carpet. Group III with güls in a rectangular compartment layout. West Turkestan, late 18th or early 19th century. 1.74 x 2.69m. This carpet from the McMullan Collection is perhaps the best known of all early Yomut C-gül carpets and certainly among the most beautiful. The field is of a somewhat clearer red than is typical, and the subtle changes in both colour and central ornament of the güls are noteworthy, as are the unusually wide minor trefoil borders. The angular floral meander of the white-ground major border is typical of Yomut weaving.
