Suasso was a banker of staggering wealth and prominent member of the Amsterdam Sephardic community, wich today possesses the only three Oriental carpets known to have been in Dutch possession since the 17th century Persian rug.

Suasso fue un banquero de inmensa fortuna y un miembro destacado de la comunidad sefardí de Ámsterdam, la cual conserva hoy en día las tres únicas alfombras orientales que se sabe han permanecido en manos holandesas desde el siglo XVII.
